Join us as a Senior Consultant – Professional Services working out of your home office in the US. Due to client locations, those in EST or CST are necessary.
We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Professional Services team and provide technical expertise to our customer and prospects within the North America region. The role requires in-depth technical understanding of the OpenEdge product as well as a great deal of consulting experience – you should be comfortable meeting our customers and engaging with them to support their architecture design, installation, configuration and tuning efforts. Taking ownership of the delivery of certain projects, you will be accountable to move them forward, drive them to a successful closure and ultimately, boost the customer experience with OpenEdge from good to great.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:
- Lead client consulting engagements to scope the project and design the architecture
- Develop project deliverables including code
- Develop methodologies, design patterns, consulting component libraries and tool-sets for use in packaged consulting programs
- Participate in the implementation, testing and process improvement
- Train partners and customers on Progress methodologies and programs and mentor/supervise them throughout delivery life cycles
- Follow existing accounts after the pre-sales cycle until the customer application is deployed
- Participate in the implementation, testing and process improvement
WHAT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL NEED TO HAVE:
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- Extensive experience with Open Edge GUI, CHUI, and Web
- OO Programming Skills
- Progress Developers Studio
- Experience with PAS and Classic AppServers
- Self-motivation with ability to influence others to achieve results
- Capacity to manage multi-tasks including administrative and coordination responsibilities
- Solid autonomy and self-initiative
- Solid communication skills with an assertive style
- Able to navigate cross-functionally and cross-regionally as required
- Willing to work off hours and possibly weekends when needed
- Superior interpersonal skills – highly enthusiastic, great presentation and communication skills
- Confident, discrete, and reliable
