Job Description
You will be part of Xeon Platform Validation Group and specifically responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of the accelerator and virtualization sub domains.
- Responsible for Generating the Test Cycles and Creating Test Cases for ensuring complete validation of the Virtualization and Accelerator components.
- Driving the Test Automation of the Test Execution and developing test Scripts using Python
- To develop good system level understanding of the Intel Xeon, Sever Platforms and analyze various issues reported on it specifically associated with Virtualization and Accelerator modules.
- To Develop Scalable Test Automation scripts capable of seamlessly working across multiple Xeon Platforms and various Release of Kernel Code
- To develop Test Scripts which should work on various Hypervisors like KVM, Hyper-V and ESXI
- To find bugs associated with various components of the Xeon Platforms, Debug and Drive to closure working with various components teams involved.
- To debug, analyze, and root cause complex issues involving HW, Linux Device Driver, Kernel Ingredients, Windows, ESXI or other Components on the Platform
Qualifications
- BE or MTech in Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with around 5+ years of experience in Test Automation, Embedded Debugging or System Validation
- Should have worked on Test Automation for a large-scale processor platform.
- Hands on experience of developing Test Automation Using Python for Minimum of 3-4 years is a must.
- Good Understanding of Python Programming Knowledge and OOPS concepts
- Capable of understanding the SW code developed using C , C++ is added advantage.
- Solid understanding of software testing, process and methodologies
- Solid Skills in test design , execution reporting and management
- Sound understanding of Intel Processor Architecture and experience of developing test case automation using the same
- Worked with CI Tools like GIT to maintain the source code and Jenkins to trigger the execution.
- Strong at analytical problem solving, code debugging and module based problem solving skills.
- Must have good knowledge of Chipset/processor interfaces (PCI Express, UPI, Memory, etc.) and Server technologies (Security, Manageability, Virtualization, Accelerators, IOMMU, Power Management, Reset/Boot, Storage, Networking,RAS, etc.) and be able to interpret specifications to assist with debug and test development.
- Having worked on test case automation for virtualized environments using one of the Hypervisors like KVM , ESXI and Hyper-V is definite advantage
- Be passionate about looking beyond automation and keen on debugging the underlying issues
- Having Understanding of Containers and Kubernetes
