Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Migration Expertise: Lead the end-to-end migration process from Oracle to PostgreSQL. Collaborate with stakeholders to define migration requirements and design efficient database structures. Execute data migration tasks with precision and minimal downtime. Database Administration:

Manage day-to-day operations of both Oracle and PostgreSQL databases. Implement and enforce best practices for database security, availability, and performance. Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure optimal database health. Operational Support:

Work collaboratively with the Sr. Database Administrator team to address operational issues and escalations. Provide technical guidance and support for complex problem resolution. Participate in on-call rotation to ensure 24x7 operational support. Documentation:

Create and maintain detailed documentation for migration processes, configurations, and operational procedures. Train and mentor team members on database administration and migration tasks. Monitoring and Performance Tuning:

Monitor database performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimizations. Collaborate with the team to develop proactive monitoring solutions for both Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
