Job Title - Lean Coach
Career Level - E Location: Chennai, India Introduction to Role: Join our Global Supply Chain and Strategy (GSC&S) team at AstraZeneca, where we design, develop,
plan, and govern our supply chains to ensure the most efficient and effective ways of delivering life-
changing medicines to patients. As a Lean Coach, you will drive operational excellence in our highly
integrated supply chains, enabling transformational change in our operating systems, management
systems, and the mindsets and behaviours of our people.
Accountabilities: As a Lean Coach, you will collaborate with the wider GSC&S Lean team and leaders to develop plans
and execute performance improvement activities. You will utilise various Lean and Six Sigma tools to
diagnose, analyse and improve business processes. You will also train, coach and mentor others on
all aspects of business process management. Your role will involve leading deep process analysis
through value stream mapping, developing visual controls & management systems, applying
practical problem-solving methodologies, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Essential Skills/Experience: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or related discipline
- Certified Lean Leader or equivalent
- 7 - 10 years of experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Lab Operations,
Sourcing or related function
- Experience in analysing complex end-to-end supply chains and driving process improvement
- Extensive experience in the application of Lean tools and techniques
- Experience in analysing Value Streams and driving process improvement
- Coaching, teaching, and driving a high-performance organization through lean methodology
- Demonstrated application of behavioural, cultural and business change methodologies
- Fluency in English
- Candidates must be willing to work hours aligned to European time zone.
