As part of this role, you will:

  • Work alongside other developers in the Team to create asset strategy and procurement capabilities
  • Support end to end QA activities
  • Be the quality champion for the Team with engagement from Requirements gathering all the way to Deployment.
  • Instil QA best practices and quality standards
  • Be responsible for improving the maturity of QA practices in the team
  • Drive the continuous testing initiatives with emphasis on measuring and improving DevOps metrics
  • Support the team by analysing production issues, perform RCA, validating fixes with the zest to drive improvements.
  • Own and manage QA reporting and automated dashboards.
  • Actively engage in QA Community of Practice with zest towards learning and sharing.

You will have extensive experience in:

  • Have experience in Continuous Testing & Continuous Delivery for 7+ years
  • Establishing test strategy, test approach and test plans
  • Testing across multiple levels – unit, integration, system, end to end
  • Building automation tests using TDD, BDD frameworks
  • Designing, building, supporting test automation frameworks
  • Research and analysis of test automation tools
  • Designing, building of API automation framework and use of tools like RESTful, Postman, Apigee
  • Java, JavaScript, cypress, selenium, cucumber
  • Cypress, NUnit, TestNG
  • Building CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub actions
  • Core cloud technologies like Azure
  • Performance, scalability, reliability, accessibility testing
  • Performance testing tools like JMeter, Akamai Cloud Test
  • Embracing agile, lean principles
  • Practicing Scrum/Kanban framework
  • Being a mentor
  • Testing related metrics
  • Pair programming with peer engineers

Also, desired, but not essential:

  • Leadership skills, be a catalyst for best testing practices
  • Coaching peers and other teams on testing practices, tools, techniques
  • Cross browser testing and experience with tools like browser stack
  • Multi-language / Localization testing
  • Actively engage with wider QA communities both at Maersk and on public forums.
  • Understanding of security testing concepts and tools such as Qualys, Polaris, Blackduck
  • Deep understanding and experience on embracing / implementing DevOps practices
