Title: Asst Manager / Sr Executive HSE

Reports to: Head HSE

Location of Role: Jamnagar

Job Summary:

The HSE Manager is responsible for implementing the company s HSE systems on the projects & operations sites and fostering a positive HSE culture on sites. Focus Areas & Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

Financial

Be constantly alert for any unsafe conditions acts & observations and act immediately to rectify them

Ensure resources are effectively & efficiently utilized

Customer

Manage and resolve all safety noncompliances raised by authorities and the site team

Operational

• Implement & increase safety awareness among employees and contractors through communications as per corporate HSE directives issued from time to time
• Establish and conduct induction & jobsite orientation for every new employee and administer and record their participation in the orientation program
• Conduct and document preplanning safety meetings with each contractor to establish safety procedures prior to the contractor s activity on site
• Establish and conduct regular (weekly) safety meetings with contractor representatives and issue minutes of meetings and interface with site staff and each contractor safety representative relating to safety regulations to ensure proper compliance
• Ensure that thirdparty inspection by the competent authority is carried out for all construction equipment & machineries before first use and at periodic intervals
• Promote a positive health and safety culture on site
• Implement the project health safety and environmental plan
• Ensure the companys management system risk assessment procedures and SWMS reflect the requirements of current legislation and standards
• Establish and maintain health and safety registers checklists PTW and maintain health and safety files and records
• Assess all potential health and safety hazards and risks and communicate to relevant parties for action
• Monitor contractors activities against SWMSs
• Conduct health and safety inspections and walks on site communicate actions and ensure closeout of actions
• Record report and investigate safety incidents and ensure corrective actions are taken
• Implement safe work practices and procedures
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety training for personnel at the site
• Assess the contractor and supplier s ability to comply with the project and health and safety requirements
• Compile safety records and statistics for the site and submit a regular report
• Guide site staff in the implementation and adherence to the Health Safety and Environment Plan

Essential skills and qualifications:

• Should have a minimum of 6 years of safety experience in India or internationally working with renewables (wind projects) transmission & distribution and power generation sectors
• Must be BE / BTech Electrical Mechanical Civil or Fire & Safety. A diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS or PDIS) is highly recommended for this role
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Language English Hindi & Gujarati (preferred). Verbal and written both ME or M Tech programs in HSE Eng or Fire and Safety or ESG (desirable) ISO 45001 ISO 14001 OHSAS 18001 NEBOSH IDIP
