Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Engineer to join our team focused on the design and development of wind turbine components. As a CAD Engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating accurate and detailed 3D models and technical drawings for various components of wind turbines.
Responsibilities: - Component Design:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create 3D models and detailed technical drawings for wind turbine components, including blades, nacelles, towers, and other related parts.
- Ensure designs adhere to project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Design Optimization:
- Work on design optimization to improve the performance, efficiency, and manufacturability of wind turbine components.
- Utilize CAD software to simulate and analyze the structural integrity and functionality of components.
- Prototyping Support:
- Provide support for prototyping activities by creating detailed drawings and specifications for manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address design feasibility and manufacturability concerns.
- Documentation:
- Maintain organized documentation of all CAD designs, revisions, and versions.
- Create and update design manuals and guidelines for internal reference.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to incorporate feedback and make design improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of CAD designs into the overall project.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a CAD Engineer, preferably in the wind energy or related industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Skills: - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating 3D models and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize designs for efficiency.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
