Overview of the role
The Business Research Analyst - II will be responsible for continuous improvement projects across the RBS teams leading to each of its delivery levers. The long-term goal of the Business Research Analyst - II role is to eliminate Defects and automate qualifying tasks. Secondary goals is to improve the vendor or customer experience, and to enhance GMS/ FCF. This will require collaboration with local and global teams, which have process and technical expertise. Therefore, Business Research Analyst - II should be a self-starter who is passionate about discovering and solving complicated problems, learning complex systems, working with numbers, and organizing and communicating data and reports. Business Research Analyst - II should works across team(s) and Ops organization at country, regional and/or cross regional level to drive improvements and enablers to implement solutions for internal and external customers, cost savings in process workflow, systems configuration and performance metrics. Leads projects and opportunities across the Operations (FCs, Sortation, logistic centres, Supply Chain, Transportation, Engineering ...) that are business critical, and may be global in nature. Business Research Analyst - II should perform Big data analysis to identify the defects patterns/process gaps and come up with long term solutions to eliminate the defects/issues. Business Research Analyst - II should write clear and detailed functional specifications based on business requirements as well as writes and reviews business cases.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Lead scoping, driving, and successful delivery of complex projects across multiple teams.
Conduct root cause analysis by acquiring and analyzing data, forming hypotheses, and validating them.
Develop programs to instill a culture of continuous improvement, emphasizing customer-centricity in service quality, productivity, and scalability.
Execute pilots and build Deterministic and ML models for scalable business solutions, leveraging pre-built ML models and Python skills.
Manage meetings and discussions, making impactful recommendations and decisions that influence development schedules and project success.
Drive teams/partners to achieve program/product goals.
Coordinate design efforts internally and externally, optimizing solutions for Amazon's network projects.
Identify and escalate downstream problems to prevent project-threatening issues.
Conduct supporting research, analyze project aspects, and interpret reports to identify opportunities and optimize processes.

About the team
The RBS team is an integral part of Amazon online product lifecycle and buying operations. The team is designed to ensure Amazon remains competitive in the online retail space with the best price, wide selection and good product information. The team's primary role is to create and enhance retail selection on the worldwide Amazon online catalog. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on internal and external customer decision making process.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience writing complex SQL queries
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
