Python Test Automation Engineer Type: Permanent Region: India Location: Remote About the Role: This role is for a Test Automation Engineer with strong Python and Selenium skills. This role will suit a smart, experienced, creative, and naturally inquisitive engineer, who has a strong passion for testing and technology. This role is to perform automated UI, API and mobile Testing. Kindly note that this is an urgent position, and therefore long notice periods cannot be considered. Immediate to 30 days’ notice is the maximum we can consider. Responsibilities: Develop and execute automation scripts using Python, Selenium (web drivers) Develop and maintain robust automation frameworks for mobile (Android and iOS ) and web applications Execute automation scripts to test functionality, performance, and usability across platforms Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design test cases and develop automation strategies aligned with project goals Analyse test results, identify defects, and communicate findings to stakeholders Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of quality throughout the organization Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in test automation, driving innovation within the team Required Experience: At least 5 years’ experience in Mobile Automation using Appium/UiAutomator and 3.5+ years' experience in Web Automation using Selenium and Python Designing and implementing automation frameworks for mobile and web applications Automation of Gaming/Streaming devices (Xbox, PS, STBs, TVs, etc.) Handling browser automation for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Proficiency in Test Automation Tools, including Appium, Selenium, Python Scripting, Robot Framework, XCode, MacOS, WebDriverAgent, and ADB commands Designing and maintaining automation frameworks, ensuring code reusability and efficiency Testing real-time devices as well as simulators/emulators Writing efficient, robust, and reusable code in Python Setting up and maintaining automation test environments Developing and executing test automation scripts, integrating scripts into automation frameworks Understanding testing processes including test planning, test strategy, test case design, and test execution Working in an agile methodology, driving automation responsibilities across the team Experience with code repo/review tools (SVN, GIT) Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Ability to quickly grasp high-level business goals and derive requirements Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies. Capability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, iOS, Android Automation Tools/Servers: Appium, Selenium, Robot Framework, HP ALM, UFT, Automation Desk Programming Languages: Python IDEs: VS Code, Eclipse, NetBeans, Sublime, and PyCharm Version Control: GIT and SVN About Ovyo Ovyo works globally with companies in the TV & Media industries including some of the top household brands.
