Job description
1.Position TitleHead - Project Control
2.Reports to / DirectsReports to- Operations Head
Directs -Engineering Heads, Projects Heads, Client and Contractor
3.Purpose of roleHandle overall Project Control Team independently. Have Knowledge of project Process Flow, Project Planning and Scheduling for EPC/ EPCC/ LEPC of Oil & Gas, Petrochemical & Fertilizer Projects.
Establish Standard Operating Procedure for Discipline, Support in Proposalas. Project Scheduling. Prepare Progress Reports for management review.

6.Key RelationshipsInternal: With All Engineering Discipline, Project Management Team and Construction team.
External: With respective clients and Business Stakeholders
7.Key Responsibilities
-ManagementActs as Head for Project Control (AdVENT).
-Quality Guide project Control Team Leads and Engineers for Project Schedule and check of documents. Ensures that the required integrity and quality of the work is maintained. Familiar Primavera latest addition and also with International Quality management system and their procedures. Ensures timely corrective actions for identified non-conformities.
-Project ExecutionPrepare MIS and reports, Prepare and Review EPC Schedule. Coordinates with all project Stakeholders and departments. Provides inputs during all design phases to all the discipline regarding man-hours including interpretation of Project standards. Actively communicates with other departments to optimize areas of interface during design development, review and check processes. Discusses with support engineers and designers regularly on scope, resources and schedules. Organize and Participates in Technical and progress reviews of projects. Familiar with organization procedures and international standards and codes.
Following master schedules for all projects including resource schedules, execution methodologies, SOPS, milestones.
-Business DevelopmentProvide Input to Business Development team as and when required. Visits clients, attends seminars/workshops and makes technical presentations.
-ProposalsReviews scope of Project and seeks clarification for ambiguous /incomplete / incorrect information from all the stakeholders.
Monitoring and provide Input to all the disciplines while preparation of Proposals
-Planning & SchedulingPrepare Base line Schedule, Progress S Curve and Support Project Control Team to prepare project Schedule
-Contracting & ProcurementIdentifying project specific Contracting Philosophy for New Projects and requirement
-Technical Review of designs and documentsThoroughly guides the Project Control team for Preparing Any Schedule considering project specific requirements.

11.Professional experience (yrs.)25 -28 Years of experience in Project Planning, Scheduling and Control for Refinery, Petrochemical, Fertilizer and Industrial Projects
12.Key Competencies - Functional
Must have:
a.Thoroughly conversant with analysis, design and construction of refinery, petrochemical, Fertilizer and industrial projects
b.Conversant with Indian as well as international design codes and standards viz. IS, BS/EUROCODE, ASCE and ACI. Should be able to develop material specifications independently.
c.Must have experience & proficiency in heading the project Control Team. Must have skills like planning, Scheduling, resource loading and resource allocation for multimillion EPC projects.
d.Should have knowledge/exposure towards project activities, including Engineering, Procurement and Construction Phase.
e.Should have hands on experience of Process Flow of refinery, petrochemical, Fertilizer and industrial projects.
f.Capability to lead complete project Control Team.
g.Highly skilled with thorough Engineering, Construction, and newer methodologies.
h.Motivating, mentoring and leading talented pool of professionals. Lead by example.
i. Knowledge of other international codes and exposure to primavera, SAP software.
