Job description

This role s primary purpose is to significantly improve access of Pfizer therapies in India Market.

The primary responsibilities are:
Designing and detailing the Market Access Plan for Pfizer therapies in India and neighboring countries under India Market
Work with stakeholders in India commercial, Access, Finance, Policy, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, Medical, Supply Chain and global H&V functions in validating, creating detailed strategy and implementation plans targeting access improvement in private and public segments.
Develop innovative access improvement models by surveying the landscape for new partnerships, and channel development
Identify access hurdles along the patient journey from incidence till treatment and adherence and implement solutions to shape India healthcare system from a long-term standpoint
Develop and submit proposals, implement access plans with an end to end accountability, define project plan, and key success factors
Measure the impact of access solutions implemented. Identifies strategies to achieve listing and further penetration for products on all relevant in-market formularies whether for government (national/state/quasi) and/or private institutions or insurers (public or private).

Develops multifunctional access plans for products
Oversees approvals of plans, and implementation, and measurement of impact

This is an Individual contributor role.

Responsibilities:
Strategic - Develops strategies and innovative models to improve product and payor access, including patient support programs.
Operational - Implements the strategies, while working on ensuring operational elements such as price approvals, patient journey maps, stakeholders maps, influencer maps, and internal documentation are developed.
Digital - Innovates so as to leverage technology to improve access, and implement or provide analytical, business, and compliance insights for access initiatives and support programs.
People Management - Exhibits a high level of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Compliance - Ensures all patient journey information, and program creation and implementation is in adherence to internal policies and compliance guidelines.

Organizational Relationships:
External:
Mid-level stakeholders in Central & State Government, Health Secretaries, Board of Health, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority
Mid-level stakeholders in non-banking financial organizations, NGO s, Industry groups or associations, Think tanks, private and Govt. hospitals and key health insurance companies
Healthcare startups and other pharma / diagnostic players
Internal:
Stakeholders in Patient Health and Value, and Access Functions
Global Pricing and Market Access CoE
In market Sales and Marketing teams, Communication & Policy, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Medical, Regulatory, Supply Chain

Basic Qualification:
MBA/ Master s degree with 5-10 yrs. of experience in Pharma/Consulting

organizations preferably in a Market Access role, or in a development consulting firm or in Industry Bodies

. Experience in creating or developing budget impact models, cost effectiveness models and developing value stories.
Knowledge of Indian Healthcare system including health policy & pharmaceutical industry dynamics and strong know-how of India Pharma Market
Understanding of business models of industries outside of pharma viz. banking, micro-financing, hospitals & insurance
Exposure to contracting strategies and innovative partnership and access models
Experience in strategy development and / or interaction with senior leadership / clients
Ability to build strong local and global partnerships to influence colleagues outside of direct reporting structure
Ability to work effectively in a cross functional team-based environment and to partner with internal and external stakeholders
Strong communication skills to interact with senior leadership.
Ability to work independently; self-starter to drive value creation.
Track record of hands on style to both manage and deliver work product.
Demonstrated ability to work with senior external stakeholders, ensuring Pfizer and its position & reputation are appropriately represented and protected
