Job description

The Supervisor (Cargo) oversees cargo handling operations to ensure the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and established handling standards are followed. He / She monitors the development of cargo load plans and organises 

warehouse operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:-

> Act as a mentor to team members.
> Amend cargo load plans based on weight of Unit Load Devices (ULDs) and aircraft weight and balance.
> Audit air cargo operations to ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.
> Conduct safety and security checks.
> Confirm booklist of flights for outgoing cargoes.
> Ensure safety and security standards are followed.
> Investigate reasons for incidents when safety and security standards are not followed.
> Manage staff conflicts and complaints.
> Notify authorities when SOPs involving hazardous materials or goods are not followed.
> Organise warehouse operations based on warehousing situations.
> Pass on shipping requirements for different types of cargoes to team members and customers.
> Prepare schedules and assign tasks to team members for hazardous materials incidents.
> Provide coaching and feedback to improve team performance.
> Provide on-the-job training to enhance skills sets of team members.
