At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, 'anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction

The role will be responsible for supporting design, rollout and evolution of Model Risk Frameworks that incorporate supervisory expectations and industry best practices to ensure a sustained best-in-class approach to Model Risk Management. This includes legal entity supervisory expectations of model risk management with regards to stress testing and BAU models, model risk appetite, and model risk reporting. As part of this responsibility, leading engagement/communication with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Model Ownership Areas, Quantitative Analytics Teams, Validation Teams, Regulators and Auditors) will be a paramount to ensure the frameworks and their codification into Policy and Standards are well designed, understood and appropriately integrated into the broader Barclays control framework.

The role is further tasked with developing model risk framework training for the Independent Validation Unit (IVU) as well as enterprise-wide training ensuring that the model risk framework is wellunderstood and consistently applied.

The position interacts extensively with model risk governance in each business unit. The position is responsible for incorporating feedback from the business and key stakeholders as it impacts the Model Risk Framework.

A bachelor's degree or a master's degree in a financial or technical field

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

 Ability to produce high quality written communication and presentations including training materials to technical and non-technical audiences of levels of seniority

 Risk Governance experience including both business and technical acumen

 Knowledge of the Model Risk Group Policy and supporting standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. SR11-7, SS1/23) applicable to model risk management
