Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI Developer to join our team. As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for developing, and maintaining Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models. Your primary focus will be collaborating with the team to develop efficient data solutions and provide ongoing support to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction. Your ability to work effectively and communicate clearly with the team will be critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities:
- Develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models to provide actionable insights and visualizations for end-users.
- Develop custom visualizations in Power BI, we are not able to purchase and would like someone who can create visualizations outside of PBI's initial selection, such as bullet chart, bar charts in a table, barbell chart, etc.
- Optimize data models and queries to ensure efficient performance and responsiveness of Power BI solutions.
- Perform data validation and ensure data accuracy and integrity within the Power BI environment.
- Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of Power BI solutions to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance of Power BI solutions, including monitoring performance, troubleshooting errors, and implementing enhancements.
- Collaborate with the team to document technical specifications, processes, and best practices related to Power BI development.
- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and trends to leverage new functionalities and drive continuous improvement.
- Effectively communicate progress, challenges, and findings to the team through regular status updates and meetings.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow, knowledge sharing, and adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Strong experience in Power BI development, including report and dashboard design, data modeling, and DAX formula creation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI tools, including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Gateway.
- Solid understanding of SQL and experience in working with relational databases and data warehouses.
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices and principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in a team setting.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in development or working with remote teams is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in Power BI or data analytics will be advantageous.
- Should have experience in creating custom visuals for Power BI using D3.js
