Learn more at birdeye.com What You'll Do As a Technical Accounting Senior Manager, the successful candidate is expected to: Perform accounting research, documentation through memos, and adoption of all newly issued standards by the FASB/IASB Focus on complex accounting issues, including but not limited to revenue recognition, 606 adoption, capitalized software, capitalized commission, equity accounting With a passion for Finance Transformation and Technical Accounting, you’ll work in a high performing team to deliver end-to-end technical accounting projects and design accounting policies and procedures Provide mentorship on complex accounting matters to ensure accurate accounting and disclosure Manage and implementing new accounting standards Maintain and update technical accounting positions memos and documenting new positions memos, SOX control and documentation Work collaboratively with the operational accounting team and business functions Prepare internal and external reporting processes including supporting schedules and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP Understand GAAP conversion from local GAAP to IFRS/USGAAP and expertise in Acquisition Accounting/Business combinations Partner with financial reporting manager and interface with external auditors to facilitate the timely completion of various audits with an emphasis on complex transactions and the financial reporting process Requirements Qualified CPA or Chartered Accountant with 10+ years of experience Proven years of experience in public accounting (Big4) or a mix of public accounting and US listed company Experience with SEC reporting requirements and public company readiness initiatives Prior experience with risk assessment and control documentation Ability to clearly and concisely document and effectively communicate sophisticated accounting and reporting issues to finance and non-finance personnel (i.e., can communicate technical accounting matters) Expertise in project management including the ability to establish and consistently meet deadlines Ability to work in a fast-paced, forward-moving environment Exceptional attention to detail with ability to identify issues and propose solutions to complex or non-standard situations Ability to learn and understand financial accounting systems/software Why You’ll Join Us At Birdeye, we know that our success is tied to our customers’ success, so we are continually raising the bar for ourselves and others around us to deliver meaningful results.
