Responsibilities:
● As a GCP DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines on the Google Cloud Platform
● You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and reliable deployment, monitoring, and management of cloud applications
● Design and implement cloud infrastructure on GCP using services such as Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and more
● Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager
● Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and release management of cloud applications
● Collaborate with development teams to ensure application scalability, reliability, and performance on the cloud platform
● Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and availability of cloud services
● Continuously improve DevOps processes and practices, implementing industry best practices and leveraging GCP native tools and services
● Provide technical guidance and support to teams for efficient utilization of GCP DevOps tools and services
● Able to analyse requirements and holistic change and impacts rather than just undertake the task at hand (or words to that effect)
Must have:
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
● Strong experience as a DevOps Engineer, with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, Kubernetes, IAC min 2-3 years
● In-depth knowledge of GCP services, including Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes EngineKubernetes, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage and Load Balancers
● Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Helm
● Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
● Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI
● Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, or ELK stack
● Excellent scripting skills in languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby
