Job Overview:
As the Head of Network Security, specializing in Nextgen Firewall and Nextgen Proxy (SSE) technologies, you will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of a robust network security infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our network, with a strong emphasis on next gen firewall and proxy management. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive network security strategy in alignment with organizational goals. Stay current with emerging threats and technology trends to continuously enhance the network security posture. Partner with business unit CIOs/CISOs/CDOs to define the multi-year roadmap for optimizing the security services including the cost efficiency. Provide quarterly updates to the stakeholders on the CAPEX and OPEX outcomes. Develop the playbooks and automate the L1 activities on network security for effective utilization of the resources. Build and maintain the Zero Trust Network architecture and network segmentation for highest security modernization. Validate all solution components including optimizing costs and minimizing operational risks. Firewall Management: Design, implement, and manage firewall policies to safeguard the organization's network perimeter. Regularly review and update firewall rules to align with business requirements and security best practices. Proxy Infrastructure: Oversee the deployment and configuration of secure service edge proxy system to monitor and control internet traffic. Implement and manage content filtering policies to ensure secure and compliant web browsing. Incident Response and Threat Mitigation: Lead the response to security incidents involving the network infrastructure. Develop and implement strategies to detect, prevent, and mitigate network-based threats. Vulnerability Management: Support on regular vulnerability assessments of network security devices and implement remediation plans within compliance window. Security Architecture Design: Work with architecture teams to design and implement secure network architectures. Provide technical guidance on security best practices for network-related projects. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring tools to assess network security performance. Optimize network security configurations for efficiency and effectiveness. Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing team of network security professionals. Provide mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities for team members. Qualification Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information security, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are highly desirable. Skills: In-depth knowledge of firewall and proxy technologies. Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching. Experience with intrusion detection and prevention systems. Proficiency in security incident response and threat hunting. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in network security roles.
