Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Cluster Networking team is building an ultra-high performance network required to support AI/ML/HPC workloads. Job description: This team will be responsible for designing, developing, and performance-tuning the networking stack required to run distributed AI/ML/HPC workloads across thousands of GPUs, leveraging technologies like RoCE or InfiniBand. We seek a Software Development Director who will lead an extraordinarily dedicated team of Software Engineers and Managers to help elevate the networking Software stack into the best and most secure one in the modern cloud environment by adding features at scale. You will be responsible for: 1. Running one or more critical cloud networking services. 2. Ensuring high availability and maintaining a high operational posture of your service 3. Setting the roadmap for the service by negotiating requirements and work you're doing with product management and various internal and external customers 4. Developing project development plans and 5. Driving the team to deliver on availability and roadmap commitments Required Qualifications BA/BS or higher degree in Computer Science or Equivalent 10+ years of experience developing, operating, and managing products and/or services, including 6+ years in a management position. Experience quickly understanding new codebases and making cost-benefit trade-off decisions. The main responsibilities are: Provide leadership, direction, and strategy for senior engineers and managers. Handle and deliver on an extensive portfolio of crucial OCI initiatives, particularly on routing services in networking. Develop a prioritized roadmap of products, features and engineering asks Drive the delivery of roadmap commitments on time with high-quality Work closely with a variety of stakeholders (other OCI teams, Oracle Corp teams, and product management) to ensure cross-organizational dependencies are managed effectively Provide regular updates to executive management Monitor the health of routing services in the OCI fleet and drive solutions to problems before they impact cloud capacity and availability. You will apply your knowledge of software architecture to lead software development tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications, operating systems, and databases according to provided design specifications. You should be able to work effectively in a collaborative and agile environment and have a hands-on management approach.Job tags
