Job description
Role:
- Design & Development of Door systems, Mechanism parts, Sealing parts, Plastics, Rubber, Glasses and Mirrors for optimum cost and weight.
- Safety and Regulation compliance in Door systems.
- Parts & vehicle level Testing and Homologation.
Responsibility:
- Design & Development of Door systems as per project schedule
- Design of Door parts and systems considering Regulations, Safety targets, Manufacturing feasibility, DVP requirements.
- Virtual & physical validation of Parts & vehicle level testing.
- Cost & Weight estimation at Part & Sub-System level.
- Countermeasure planning, as necessary, based on Design and Quality Reviews, Testing, Production & Market feedback.
- Coordination with business partners for parts development.
- Advanced engineering projects, Localization & Cost reduction.
Competency Requirements:
Technical/Functional:
- Experience of Design or Development in at-least any one of the following domain areas :
Door systems
Door mechanism parts, Sealing parts, Plastics, Rubber, Glasses and Mirrors.
- Understanding of Manufacturing processes and Costing of parts.
- Hands on experience in testing and benchmarking at part & vehicle level.
- Experience of Root Cause analysis with design calculations.
Educational Requirements:
- B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical Engg/ Automobile Engg.
- Minimum 60 % marks
