Job description
As a Pharmacist in a medical store you will be responsible for dispensing prescription medications providing patient counseling maintaining inventory control and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. You will play a crucial role in promoting the wellbeing of customers by offering professional pharmaceutical services.
Dispensing Medications:
- Accurately interpret and fill prescription orders.
- Ensure the correct medication dosage and instructions are provided to customers.
- Verify prescription information and patient details.
Patient Counseling:
- Provide information on medication usage potential side effects and proper administration to patients.
- Address customer queries regarding overthecounter medications.
- Offer advice on general health and wellness.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage pharmaceutical inventory levels.
- Order and restock medications as needed.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist in expiration date management.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Adhere to local state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practices.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of controlled substances.
- Implement safety and sanitation practices in the pharmacy.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and inquiries.
- Establish a rapport with customers to build trust and loyalty.
Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals:
- Work closely with physicians and healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and ensure patient wellbeing.
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Continuing Education:
- Stay informed about new pharmaceutical products treatments and developments in the healthcare industry.
- Participate in continuing education programs to enhance professional knowledge.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- State pharmacy license and other required certifications.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products drug interactions and pharmacy laws and regulations.
