Company Description

Main function of job: You will be responsible for day-to-day supervision of the Finance Operational Insight Team along with providing, forward thinking, key business intelligence and management information to aid improved decision making and drive improved performance across the Group. Support finance divisional representatives to improve the understanding of financial performance across all fee earning and leadership roles. You will also be responsible for maintaining the financial performance application suite and relevant reporting (My Financials/QlikView) for the Group and collaborating with the IT Applications Development team to ensure the service is operational and provides accurate and relevant information on a timely basis for the fee earners and wider business to deliver against targets.

Role Description

• Supervise and work within a high performing Operational Insight Team with a strong focus on high quality data driven insight and performance analysis • Support the Operational Insight Manager, Director of Operations and Finance Leadership teams with powerful business intelligence on a timely basis to aid good quality decision making • Review and governance of operational finance and divisional policies such as time recording, rates and client lifecycle. • Review and ensure the information provided by the team is of impeccable quality, is user friendly and, where relevant, provide further operational insight and commentary on key themes and trends, making appropriate forward-thinking recommendations • Support the Operational Insight Manager in identifying, defining and developing the necessary operating KPIs to enable the function to operate successfully • Provide detailed analysis and insight into industry and client trends, ensuring we fully support the Executive Board and Divisional leadership teams to drive increased performance in every area • To monitor the deliverables and objectives of the team ensuring that the focus is informed by the wider finance operations strategy • Encourage knowledge sharing across the operations functions and lead by example to ensure direct reports mirror collaboration with their peers and colleagues • To positively lead the team, taking appropriate action to ensure the team objectives are on track and that mitigating actions are taken where appropriate and relevant • Provide training and development of teams to enable continuous improvement and engagement of our people • Maintain a high performance culture ensuring that objective setting cascades to the function and that the teams have a clear understanding of how they contribute to the Finance and business strategy.

To performance manage direct reports through the use of DWF performance management frameworks to drive performance and address / resolve underperformance in a positive manner The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organization and the overall business objectives of the organization.
