We are currently hiring for ' Sr Engineer Product - Mechanical ' for one of our reputed and prominent client and MNC based organization.

Qualifications : BE/BTech /MTech/MCA (Mechanical)

ROLE OBJECTIVE

• The Senior R&D Product DVL engineer will report to the Product Development Team leader, Energy and will be a member of the Product Design team, responsible for designing and developing connector products for LV, MV & HV applications, as well as providing engineering support for existing products to maintain competitiveness in the market. The role will support one of the product lines within the Energy division, focusing on Cable Accessories, Insulation & Protection, and Connectors & fittings for LV, MV & HV applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing and developing Energy products for LV, MV & HV applications using polymeric, elastomeric, and metallic materials.
• Independently managing new product introduction (NPI) processes.
• Generating innovative concepts for NPI projects.
• Creating prototypes based on conceptual designs.
• Conducting design hand calculations and verification using FEA.
• Developing design verification test plans and leading Design & Process FMEAs.
• Conducting product testing and qualification.
• Collaborating with suppliers for DFX and leading design reviews.
• Creating and maintaining production drawings using Creo.
• Designing molds for prototypes.
• Developing jigs & fixtures for product testing as needed.
• Managing product data including BOMs and routings.
• Supporting product compliance and approvals for new products and platforms.
• Providing technical support to Product Management teams.
• Participating in customer meetings, technology days, and site visits.
• Assisting global engineering teams with New Product Developments and cost optimization/reduction efforts.
• Reverse Engineering competitor products.
• Documenting results of design reviews and decision meetings.

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or higher.
• Highly organized, methodical, and self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and meet commitments.
• Hands-on experience in new product development.
• Experience with product design for high-voltage power networks and/or network accessories.
• Over 10 years of product development experience.
• Strong knowledge of plastic/rubber component design and development.
• Proficiency in project management.
• Experience with Creo, 3D scanning, 3D printing, and reverse engineering.
• LDFSS or DMAIC 6-sigma green or black belt certification is advantageous.
• Familiarity with SAP, PDMLink, or similar product data management systems.
• Proficient in the MS Office suite.
• Willingness to travel.
• Fluent in English.
