Role Description
1. Patient Assessment : - Conduct thorough medical assessments and evaluations of patients' reproductive health. - Gather detailed medical histories and perform physical examinations. - Order and interpret relevant diagnostic tests and imaging studies. 2. Treatment Planning : - Develop personalized treatment plans for infertility patients, taking into account their specific needs and medical history. - Discuss treatment options, risks, and benefits with patients, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the process. 3. Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) : - Perform in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures, including egg retrieval, sperm retrieval, and embryo transfer. - Oversee the administration of fertility medications, monitor patients' hormone levels, and adjust treatment protocols as necessary. - Coordinate and supervise procedures such as intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT), and cryopreservation of embryos. 4. Patient Counseling and Support : - Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their partners throughout the fertility treatment process. - Address patients' concerns, answer questions, and offer guidance on lifestyle modifications to enhance fertility. 5. Surgical Procedures : - Perform minimally invasive surgical procedures related to fertility, such as laparoscopy or hysteroscopy, to diagnose and treat underlying reproductive issues. 6. Monitoring and Follow-up : - Monitor patients' progress during treatment cycles and adjust treatment plans as needed. - Conduct regular follow-up appointments to assess the success of treatment and provide ongoing care. 7. Research and Education : - Stay updated on the latest advancements in reproductive medicine and assist in research studies related to fertility and infertility. - Educate patients about their conditions and treatment options, ensuring they make informed decisions. 8. Compliance and Documentation : - Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient consultations, treatments, and outcomes. - Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards in reproductive medicine. Preferred candidate profile : - Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with specialization in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI). - Minimum 3years of experience working with an IVF clinic - Minimum 50 patients Oocyte pickup experience (Individually)- Board certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) is required. - Valid medical license to practice in the jurisdiction where the IVF clinic is located. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Empathy and sensitivity when dealing with patients. - Strong surgical skills for fertility-related procedures. - Knowledge of current fertility treatments, ART, and related technologies. - Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards. - Willingness to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, embryologists, and support staff.Job tags
