- Project Management Officer will manage day-to-day activities of various teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Project Management Officer responsibilities include planning project management activities, analyzing financial information to keep projects on track, and collaborating with different department/s to ensure all domain/department leaders understand where a project is at various stages.
What will your job look like?
- Collaborating with other domain/department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects.
- Oversee the development of the project and ensure that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently.
- Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.
- Carrying out end to end responsibility from raising a Need/Purchase request to tracking of vendor payment.
- Evaluate projects to ensure they are meeting agreed and approved scope of work, adhere to budgets and meet various milestones and the deadlines.
- Risk and impact analysis: Identifying the risk, work on the possible mitigations and highlight the impact at various stages of the project.
- Monitor expenditures and create detailed reports for leaders/management. Raising the right flag and right time.
- Document the project’s creation, development, and execution as well as the project’s scope, budget, and justification.
All you need is...
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Economics, or equivalent
- Experience working with project methodology and management, PMO processes (e.g. scheduling, budget management)
- Understanding of software development lifecycles (we are particularly interested in Agile)
- Can work with a team and connect with various levels – excellent communications skills are a must as you will deal with a range of characters, including very senior staff.
- Experience working as a PMO in a software/IT/ Telco organization –an advantage.
- Resourcefulness and take ownership of your own work.
- PMP certified and practitioner – min. 5 yrs.
- Conversant on MSP / Project scheduler
- Advance / latest MS office and relevant tools.
