Job description
JD:
This position is responsible for testing
and validation of data repositories and/or extracts from a technical
perspective. Testing of technical data tasks includes but are not limited to:
mapping documents, data-centric test planning, and execution, defect
management, adherence to data testing procedures and processes, communication
with Developers and System Analysts to fully understand the scope of the
project to ensure the testing will fully cover the deliverables of the project.
Essential Functions:
* Develop Test Strategy / Plan including
system testing and integration testing.
* Develop test cases, test scripts and
document accuracy of test results; document any defects; perform re-tests to
verify resolution of defects.
* Communicate and interact effectively and
professionally with co-workers, management, customers.
Required Job Qualifications
* Bachelor Degree and 6 years Information
Technology experience.
* Experience developing Data WarehouseETL test plans, and test cases including
experience in data warehouse, Preferably 5 years.
* Experience writing SQL scripts in Sql
server.
* Experience with DB tools like SSIS,
Informatica, Preferably 3 Years.
* Experience working in Onshore/Offshore
model and agile testing environment
* Experience with Jira
* Clear and concise written and verbal
communication skills
* Interpersonal skills to promote
understanding and facilitate business partnerships
* Work with Business Analysts, Developers,
ETL, and Data warehouse engineers to validate ETL scripts
* Responsible for writing, executing and
debugging DB queries to perform data completeness, correctness, data
transformation and data quality testing
* Ability to manage time while working on
multiple projects
