Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Mid-Level: 4 to 6 years of experience as a Social Studies Teacher
- Strong knowledge of Social Studies curriculum and instructional best practices
- Excellent classroom management and time management skills
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for teaching and a genuine interest in the academic and personal development of students
- Proficiency in using digital tools and technology for instruction
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and administrators
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement curriculum for Social Studies classes, including creating lesson plans and instructional materials
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and engagement
- Assess student performance and progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to develop interdisciplinary units and projects
- Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of Social Studies education, incorporating new teaching strategies and resources
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and academic achievements
- Provide additional support and guidance to students who may require extra assistance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and behavior
