Job description

Job Purpose:

The Senior Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring that equipment and systems function optimally by applying their deep technical knowledge. With a heightened level of responsibility compared to standard technicians, this role requires leadership, extensive experience, and an ability to tackle more complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Advanced Troubleshooting & Repair:

Handle complex technical issues that junior technicians may find challenging.
Lead critical repair operations, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
Equipment Maintenance & Optimization:

Oversee and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
Recommend and apply optimizations to improve equipment efficiency and performance.

Mentorship & Training:

Guide, mentor, and train junior technicians, sharing expertise and best practices.
Conduct technical workshops and training sessions for the team.

Documentation, Analysis & Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of advanced technical tasks performed.
Analyze recurrent issues and suggest long-term solutions to management.
Collaborate with the Technical Services Manager in generating monthly/quarterly reports.

Safety, Compliance & Quality Control:

Lead by example in adhering to safety protocols and industry regulations.
Oversee and ensure quality of repairs, maintenance, and installations.
Project Management:

Play an active role in the planning, execution, and completion of technical projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 5 Yrs Experience in Service department

Primary Skills:

Deep Technical Knowledge: Mastery over equipment, tools, and systems pertinent to the specific industry.
Leadership: Ability to lead and guide a team, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards.
Analytical Thinking: Capacity to dissect complex technical issues and devise effective solutions.
Training & Mentorship: Proven experience in guiding and upskilling junior team members.
Project Management: Skills in coordinating, executing, and overseeing technical projects.

Secondary Skills:

Effective Communication: Clearly convey complex technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Adaptability: Stay resilient and effective in rapidly changing environments or situations.
Time Management: Prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring critical issues are addressed promptly.
Collaboration: Work harmoniously with diverse teams and departments.
Customer Service Orientation: Understand the needs of internal and external clients, aiming for their satisfaction.
