Job description
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Responsible for the design and implementation of the manufacturing process, equipment, and new line setup. Responsible for operational excellence via efficient line/plant design. Ensures continuous improvement in Process, Safety, Cost, Quality & productivity. Manages all engineering projects and resolves engineering problems. Competent to provide inputs to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
- Communication skills for overseeing team and working with other functions such as QA, CRE, PVE, PD team
- Detail-oriented with the ability to catch minor errors which can result in major problems
- Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously
- Relevant training and/or certifications as an Engineering Manager
- Coordination with PD, PVE,Mfg, QA for New Model Introduction and Model Migration to Rudrapur plant.
- Primary focus will be on developing efficient processes, executing effective strategies, and ensuring the timely completion of projects.
- As an Engineering Manager, he will play a key role in researching and developing innovation in processes. He will also be responsible for creating project budgets and overseeing their successful execution throughout the year. Collaborating closely with various teams which will ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget, maintaining a high level of quality and adherence to organizational objectives
- Determine the need for training and talent development among team members

Education Qualification
Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Mechanical Engg., Electrical, Electronics, Automobile or similar engineering stream
General Experience
Minimum 7 years of Experience where 5 years in PE profile
Critical Experience
- Quality assurance - build Quality in processes through PFMEA, Mistake proofing, SPC, CAPA, etc.
- Resolution of critical and chronic Quality issues.
- Process planning for changes in existing products (including CRE) and support productionisation of new products.
- Capex budgeting to improve PQCDS by replacement /addition of equipment with appropriate technology. Monitor and control implementation of planned Capex from need justification till commissioning of equipment and SOP
- Productivity improvement - Manpower optimisation and capacity enhancement.
- Knowledge of MOST and Line Balancing Techniques
- Knowledge of PLC, Digitization related projects
- Lean manufacturing (Lead time reduction, VAR improvement.
- Innovations, Continuous improvement, Problem solving.
- TQM - Ensure adherence and improvement in Quality systems - PPAP, Process Mapping and Process flow, control Plan, SOP, etc.
- Cost saving through improvement projects
- Analytical skills for evaluating data and solving complex problem
