About Role
The Server Administrator will be part of the global IT team and mainly responsible for managing on-prem Production and Engineering Lab Servers. In this role the individual will use their skills and experience to maintain code repositories and Build system, Hypervisor ( VMware and Hyper-V).The person should have expertise in Linux administration and scripting. Storage management.The individual is accountable for Patch management, Active directory, DNS, DHCP and monitoring tool.Comply with Company policies, procedures, and management standards, and ensure adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.Create and maintain security policies and create reports for internal and external audits.Proactively engage with internal teams to gather requirements, provide expertise and identify innovative solutions to improve systems and process.
Key Skills
- 8-10 years of technical experience as Sr. System Administrator / Sr. Infrastructure Engineer
- Excellent troubleshooting skills covering a wide variety of Operating Systems and Applications
- Working in large scale virtual deployments
- Building out a framework to properly alert, support and maintain the virtual environment.
- Building a monitoring and alerting platform
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, Self-motivated able to work independently. Well-honed interpersonal and collaboration skills. A strong customer (business units) focus, with the ability to Influence, negotiate and manage expectations appropriately and build long-term relationships with functional stakeholders.
Role & Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of VMware and Vcenter. Should be able to manage critical infrastructure in a virtualized environment. VSAN and VVOL configuration and troubleshooting
- Hands on experience in GIT and SVN code repository Servers. Should be able to manage security and integrations with different build systems. Manage regular patching and OS upgrade for build systems.
- Experience in implementing and supporting a Linux Environment. ( Cluster ,RAID levels)
- Strong Operating Systems knowledge is MUST ( Ubuntu ,REDHAT ,Debian and Windows)
- Able to manage server hardware infrastructure like capacity planning , optimization , hardware issues and installation
- Ability to manage centralized patch management for all type of on-prem servers (Windows and Linux)
- Automation and scripting using Python, Ansible, Puppet or Chef
- Experience in backup, restore and DR for on-prem server infrastructure.
- Certificate management
- NetApp, EMC and Nutanix knowledge
- Working knowledge to AWS and Azure
- Advanced troubleshooting skills to provide Level 2 Support to Helpdesk engineers.
- Drive the organizations IT-Sec initiatives, collaborate with Druva's InfoSec team to ensure systems and software are compatible and establish an architecture policy to ensure smooth integration of new technology as the organization's business needs grow (Hardware and Mission critical Applications)

Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology & Engineering or equivalent, One or more technical certifications in Vmware
