Job Overview:
As an Academic Counsellor at Coding Blocks, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting students throughout their learning journey. Your primary responsibility will be to provide academic counseling and assistance to students, ensuring their success in our programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Guidance and Counseling:
Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students to understand their career goals, academic needs, and learning preferences.
Provide guidance on suitable courses and learning paths based on individual student profiles.
Assist students in understanding the curriculum, learning objectives, and the overall program structure.
Admissions Assistance:
Provide information about Coding Blocks courses, admission procedures, and prerequisites to prospective students.
Assist in the admission process by answering queries, guiding students through the application process, and ensuring a smooth enrollment experience.
Progress Monitoring:
Monitor the academic progress of students and identify areas where additional support may be required.
Collaborate with instructors and other team members to address student concerns and challenges.
Feedback and Improvement:
Collect feedback from students regarding the learning experience and share insights with the academic team for continuous improvement.
Provide suggestions for curriculum enhancements and innovative approaches to improve the overall learning environment.
Event Coordination:
Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and other events to enhance student engagement and promote a sense of community among learners.
Maintain Records:
Keep accurate records of student interactions, feedback, and academic performance.
Generate reports and analytics related to student success and retention.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (education, counseling, computer science, etc.).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of programming and technology education.
Previous counseling or education-related experience is a plus.
Enthusiastic about technology and passionate about helping students succeed.
