Position: Structural Design Engineer - Foundation and structure designer
Location: Chennai
We are on the lookout for an experienced, results-driven Structural Design Engineer with a focus on Foundation and structure designer. Join our team and contribute to the 3D-structural design in the Civil, Steel, and Architectural arenas. If you have a passion for design and have previously supported structure and foundation design, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our global teams to create deliverables for civil and structural elements. Excellent communication is vital!
- Develop 2D drawings of steel/concrete structures in AutoCAD under guidance from senior Structural Design Engineers.
- Accurately interpret and incorporate client redlines or mark-ups on drawings.
- Be proficient with steel and concrete design practices.
- Understand all types of steel connections, including bolted and welded.
- Have a solid grasp of American steel structural profiles.
- Exhibit strong visualization skills and proactively take ownership of tasks.
- Coordinate closely with other discipline counterparts like Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation.
- Experience of 3D Modelling software like Staad pro, PDS, PDMS, E3D, and SP3D is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 3 - 4 years of experience in Engineering and/or EPC company
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel
- Skilled in drafting with AutoCAD
- Familiarity with American codes, primarily ACI & AISC
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate a cross-functional matrix organization
- Strong written, listening, and verbal communication skills
