Role: Assistant Manager, Fundraising

Engagement : Full-time

About Haqdarshak

Simply put, we are bridging the information and access gap between citizens and social security schemes (both government and private) using tech and a network of field agents known as Haqdarshaks (who are primarily women).

Our Haqdarshaks are extensively trained in both government schemes and the on-fieldimplementation of programmes. They are also trained on how to liaise with government officials and bank officials. For the services they provide, they make a commission which makes them financially independent. On our social media channels, we have featured several stories of women who have not only gained financial agency but also an identity after working with us.

We partner with corporates, CSR departments, philanthropies, family offices, and even government offices to design and implement programs on the field. We have been around for almost 7 years. We are present in more than 24 states. We have unlocked benefits worth over INR 4,000 crore for over 27 lakh Indian citizens. We have multiple digital portals (including two apps, one for citizens and one for our agents) where we have stored information on government schemes in 11 vernacular languages (currently working on re-skinning these apps).

We are also working on scaling our latest offerings, Yojana Cards and Yojana Kendras. These are set to forever alter how citizens access welfare services in India. We are an independent organization and not affiliated with the government in any way.

  • Relevant work experience in client-facing sales, business development, or fundraising roles within the social impact sector.
  • Some level of experience working with one of the following cohorts:
    • Workers/MSMEs/Farm
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with high energy and outcome orientation
  • Genuine interest in understanding government systems
  • Target oriented: Comfortable working toward individual and business targets
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, combined with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
  • A genuine willingness to embrace feedback and actively seek opportunities for growth
  • A strong desire to develop negotiation skills and the ability to navigate complex situations.
  • The ability to multitask, take ownership of responsibilities, and think quickly on your feet.
  • Willingness to drive and execute revenue-based business models contributing to social impact.
  • You're quick. You take pride in your work. You like to initiate, lead, own.

Your Core Role

  • Generating a sales pipeline by activating personal and professional networks
  • Creating and presenting impactful proposals to clients to close contracts.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their challenges and guiding them in making informed decisions about our services.
  • Working closely with internal teams and existing partners to identify opportunities for project renewals, upselling, and cross-selling, building strong relationships along the way.
  • Developing pitches specific to your domain expertise.
  • Conducting market research to identify new sectors, organizations, and functions that could benefit from Haqdarshak's services
  • Representing Haqdarshak at important events and conferences to expand our network and find potential partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborating with other teams to plan and execute strategies that align with our mission
  • Field visits to learn first hand about execution and convert that into appropriate client narratives

  • Five-Day workweek.
  • Fair pay.
  • The team will support you and push you. We will debate and question you. We will help you find what youre good at and let you make unilateral decisions there. We will prod you to get better at the things youre not good at.
  • You will interact with our coordinators and field agents on the ground. You will also interact with decision-makers from within the social impact ecosystem
