Sales Engineer

Job overview:

The After Sales Technical Engineer is responsible to promote the sale of high precision sensors, grips, tools and software to existing ZwickRoell customers through remote and on-site product and application consulting.  He/she provides ZwickRoell India service personnel with technical support for the promotion and sales of products to existing customers. This role works closely with the in-house After Sales team and Field Service Engineer team. Objectives, responsibilities, prioritization, project definition and administrative matters are defined by the Regional Service Manager (Line Manager).

Location: Vadodara, Gujarat (India)

Responsibilities

Visit existing ZwickRoell customers to understand challenges and needs to consult them on standard to complex solutions

Coordinate with After Sales and Field Service teams to bring non-duplicating value-add in customer interactions

Support After Sales team in sales process and in preparing technically complex quotations.

Provide technical support to After Sales and Field Service Engineers for After Sales activities.

Support After Sales team with updates in CRM system and provide data as required by the Service Management

Uses TopSell concepts and processes to assist others in the service team, as well as acting independently in accounts and sales situations, when required.

Presents technical customer training courses.

Acts as liaison with sales/customers and ZRX to provide input on product and service improvements.

Fulfil ad-hoc duties and projects assigned by Regional Service Manager.

Education, Experience & Requirements

Education

Bachelor degree in engineering (Mechanical / Metallurgy)

Experience

3 to 5 years of experience in sales of material testing machines or other industrial products.

Working experience in measurement and analytical instruments or materials testing is preferred.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of Materials testing & Materials properties.

Basic knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical, Electronics, Hardware & Software.

Experience in pre-sales or after sales of Materials Testing Machines or similar industrial products.

Proficiency with PC software, good knowledge of MS Office and CRM software.

Strong professional communication skills.

Ability to work independently, goal-oriented and has a flexible approach to work.

Ability to work under pressure.

Willing to travel to attend customer meetings and technical visits.

Willing to undergo continuous re-training.

Possesses a valid driving license.

Proficiency in English language.

Proficiency in a local Indian language and German language would be advantageous.

50…70% travel requirement within Vadodara, Gurgaon, Pune India.
