We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Executive / Sr. Executive - A&R. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of backend operations, focusing on legal and financial processes for both singers and their managers. This role requires a keen understanding of the music business, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage various tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities Legal and Financial Management:
- Oversee all legal and financial paperwork related to artistes and their managers.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and legal requirements.
- Handle contracts, agreements, and negotiations for new artists, shows and collaborations.
- Collaborate with legal team to draft and review contracts to protect the interests of the company and artists
Financial Administration - Manage the finances of all shows, including budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting.
- Track and analyze financial data to provide insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.
Contract And Deal Management - Facilitate negotiations and agreements for new artists, ensuring favorable terms for all parties.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of contracts, deals, and relevant documentation.
- Work closely with artists, managers, and legal teams to ensure contract adherence.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and standards to negotiate competitive deals.
New Song Release Coordination - Coordinate the release of new songs, including liaising with artists, producers, and distribution platforms.
- Ensure timely delivery of all required assets for song releases.
- Collaborate with marketing and promotion teams to maximize the impact of new releases.
Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Music Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in backend operations, legal, and finance roles within the music industry.
- Strong understanding of music industry contracts, legal frameworks, and financial processes.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
