Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a MEP BIM Coordinator/ Sr BIM Modeler Mechanical. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with co-coordinating and producing Mechanical Building Information Models, performing clash detection, and visually communicating design decisions to the project team for review and resolution. The candidate will work with Project Managers, Architects, and Engineers to ensure that designs meet client expectations and that coordination is achieved within and across all disciplines. They will also create and attend project meetings, develop project timelines and deliverable schedules, and coordinate with project stakeholders regarding design and construction documents.

Qualifications

• BIM Coordination, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) knowledge and experience
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit Suite, Navisworks, and other BIM authoring tools
• Project Management Skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field such as Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
• Knowledge of healthcare design standards, hospital equipment, and systems is desirable
• Experience in sustainable design and modeling is an advantage

Role Description

This is a full-time, remote role for a Senior Mechanical BIM Coordinator. As our Senior Mechanical BIM Coordinator, you will lead and coordinate the building information modeling (BIM) process for assigned projects from pre-construction through project close-out. You will be responsible for overseeing and executing all mechanical aspects of BIM coordination initiatives and clash detection workflows in a multi-disciplinary environment. The role requires proficiency in managing, coordinating, and implementing design collaboration and documentation deliverables required on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• 10+ experience as MEP/plumbing/fire protection coordinator working on complex large-scale projects using BIM methodology
• Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam Revu
• Proficient in building construction systems and means and methods (mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) and fire protection)
• Strong communication, organizational, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
• Capability to identify and solve complex problems with attention to detail
• Understanding of preferred contracting delivery methods such as Design-Build, CM-at-Risk, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), and or public-private partnerships (PPP)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and prioritize tasks within expected deadlines
• Familiarity with applicable building codes, standards, and regulations
• Knowledge in sustainable building practices, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification is a plus
