Job Description

The role will entail working on warehouse and logistics designs in IN, APAC and MENA, right from site masterplanning to developing details of interiors. It will be to lead and drive innovation and standardisation of architectural and interior design and implementation across the geographies. The designs will have to be integrated with DEI and PwD compliance norms and meeting local code compliance. The position involves working with multiple internal and external stakeholders, developing consultants, vendors and contractors to scale up to standards defined.
Along with technical expertise, excellent communication skills, ability to provide solutions navigating through a matrix organization and essential skills.
The major tasks and responsibilities will involve (but not limited to) the following-
1. Developing and reviewing designs for all building formats at Amazon.
2. Supporting the Real Estate and Project Managers on technical aspects
3. Developing pool of consultants and contractors
4. Working with internal and external teams to bring in the right design standards
5. Engaging with stakeholders across regions to drive cross-geography programs on updating and upholding building standards.
6. Working with Design Consultants and vendors to review and implement the right designs
A day in the life
This role will involve engagement with design engineers, Project Managers, Operations, Safety, Maintenance team internally, to deliver on strategic as well as tactical levels. External engagement will be with Design Consultants and vendors.

This role will be a part of Amazon Building Design Team for India, MENA and APAC. Our team is accountable for ensuring meeting the key business requirements, upholding safety in design and compliance. We continuously innovate to better ourselves, working with internal and external stakeholders.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Bengaluru, KA, IND
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of manufacturing or manufacturing engineering experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Experience in complex work environments, including (but not limited to robotics, automation, diagnostic and test equipment)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement principles & techniques
