Job description

We are seeking a talented and experienced professional to join our dynamic CIO Office team as the Cloud Infrastructure Architect, Azure Power Platform and M365 IT Service Owner. As the Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, optimizing and maintaining infrastructure solutions on the basis of on-premises environment and Microsoft Azure platform, with a strong focus on operational performance and business continuity, seamless cloud transformations and migrations.

Your primary focus will be on architecting scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions that facilitate successful transitions to the cloud, utilizing both Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings to meet the unique needs of our business. The secondary responsibility area is dedicated to managing identity and access controls within the Azure environment, overseeing the efficient operation of Microsoft 365 services, as well as providing integration support for on-premises business applications

The success of this complex role is tightly linked to the ability of managing multiple application and operations subcontractors while keeping the end-to-end responsibility for the business delivery of the relevant services.

Key Responsibilities: -

Cloud Architecture Design:

• Develop robust and scalable cloud architecture solutions on Microsoft Azure, incorporating best practices for IaaS and PaaS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into architectural blueprints.
• Design the seamless interoperability between the on-premises and cloud infrastructure environments.
• Plan and drive the cloud transformation journey with IaaS and PaaS services.
• Maintain the Architecture Documentation according to the company standards.

Azure Services Expertise:

• Demonstrate deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS services, including but not limited to Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Power Platform, and more.

Infrastructure Automation:

• Drive continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices for infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.

Performance and Cost Optimization:

• Analyze and optimize the performance of Azure-based applications and infrastructure components.
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks.
• Provide the consistent Cost monitoring and optimization practices.

Security and Compliance:

• Ensure that cloud architectures meet industry-specific security and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with the security team to implement and enhance security measures within the Azure environment.

Virtual Team Coordination:

• Coordinate a virtual development and operational teams of IT service owners, engineers and subcontractors, providing architectural guidance and mentorship.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and skills development.

M365 Service Ownership

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Microsoft 365 services, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and align Microsoft 365 services with organizational goals.
• Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft 365 applications, including but not limited to Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.

Security and Compliance

• Implement security best practices in Azure IAM, M365 services, and network infrastructure to safeguard sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and updates to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate with IT teams, business units, and external vendors to implement integrated solutions and resolve technical issues.
• Provide training and support to CIO colleagues and business end-users on Azure infrastructure, IAM and M365 services.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, policies, and procedures related to owned services.
• Generate regular reports on the performance and usage of these services.

Requirements: -

• Proficiency in Azure Active Directory, Azure Identity Protection, and related technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and services.
• Familiarity with IAM solutions for cloud and on-premises applications.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and connectivity solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Qualifications & Skills Required: -

• Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Architect, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing solutions using Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud and on-premises IAM solutions.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 services.
• Familiarity with security and compliance standards in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate or equivalent.
