JOB TITLE: Designer Engineer- 3 - Electrical

SUPERVISOR: Manager/Lead - Electrical & Instrumentation

BASIC PURPOSE:

Throughout the project, the Lead will oversee the development of all the activities of design deliverables. This will include setting up the project, monitor progress, report status, identify needs, attend status meetings etc.

EDUCATIONAL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

BE/Diploma (Electrical) with minimum 8/10 years of relevant experience in the relevant discipline, proficient in using the relevant software like E3D (Must), PDMS & AutoCAD.

TYPICAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Works closely with discipline project engineers/design engineers and other disciplines in the delivery of project engineering deliverables, quality control drawings and overall project support.
2. Develop designs in PDMS and (new) drawings in electronic format (AutoCAD)
3. Implement hand mark-up changes to drawings.
4. Maintain standard drawing templates.
5. Provides quality assurance reviews and detailed checking support.
6. Maintain and monitor drawing development progress.
7. Meet project commitments and deliver to schedule.
8. Technical knowledge of 3D design applications.
9. Weekly/Monthly Progress reports, Documentation and control.
10. Supporting and coordinating with the Leads & Project Manager in projects planning for the estimation of man hours & work schedule.

11. Any other relevant activities as defined by the Manager/Lead.

SUPERVISION & CONTROL:

Reports to: Manager - Electrical& Instrumentation

Supervises: A team of juniors

EXPERIENCE: 10 years
