Principal duties and responsibilities

The position requires a strong expertise on building, evolving and maintaining a robust Design System for SBS products. You should have exposure to User Interface(UI) design for enterprise applications, Design System utilisation, requirement comprehension and an understanding of User Experience(UX) to build great products. You will work closely with a team of Product Designers focused on delivering world-class user-centered experiences. While collaborating with key engineering and business partners, you will define and drive exceptional design deliverables across design system and banking products.

• As Design System lead, you will work closely with other product designers, product managers, development team and other stakeholders to deliver the best user interface & interaction patterns.
• Design System Lead’s work has a big impact on our future-oriented products through styles, components, patterns, micro-interactions and guidelines.

 

What you will do

• Implement and continuously improve design system styles, components and patterns for Banking products while remaining brand aligned and consistent
• Implement design guidelines to meet overall design standards.
• Work in a highly collaborative fashion with other designers, product managers, product marketing, product owners, and other key stakeholders to ensure deliverables are aligned with product requirements
• Ensure the team sets a high-quality bar for their work while establishing the trade off with meeting delivery timescale.
• Help product designers Plan & Deliver designs — whether that’s sketches, wireframes, designs or prototypes
• Participate in design reviews and share your work regularly with key stakeholders in design, product management, marketing, engineering

 

We’re interested in hearing from you, if

• You are a strong design practitioner, with expertise on Figma
• You’ve built Design System for world-class enterprise application(s) in a product delivery environment — preferably in the financial services space.
• You have experience working with product designers, engineers and product managers to deliver efficiently.
• You have experience designing and delivering complex products.
• You have experience balancing creative / analytical design goals and making product and design trade-offs.
• You have an ability to thrive and effectively communicate in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• You have a design-related degree or ability to show how other degree relates to this role.
• You are fluent in English.
