Job Description: Finance Executive - Travel Company
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Junior Finance Executive to join our travel company's finance team. As a Junior Finance Executive, you will play a vital role in supporting financial operations, assisting with budgeting, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. Responsibilities:
- Financial Data Entry and Management:
- Accurately record financial transactions into the company's accounting system.
- Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and databases.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Assist in processing invoices, verifying accuracy, and timely payment to vendors.
- Support accounts receivable functions, including issuing invoices and tracking payments.
- Bank Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements and transactions to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Budget Monitoring:
- Assist in preparing and monitoring departmental and project budgets.
- Track expenditures against budgets and report any variances.
- Financial Analysis:
- Compile and analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior finance team members.
- Prepare financial reports, summaries, and forecasts as needed.
- Expense Management:
- Assist in reviewing and reconciling employee expense reports.
- Ensure compliance with company expense policies.
- Assist in Month-End and Year-End Closing:
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Ensure adherence to accounting principles and company policies.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department.
- Suggest and implement streamlined and efficient procedures.
- Ad Hoc Tasks:
- Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Prior experience in finance or accounting roles is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Enthusiasm to learn and contribute to the finance function of a travel company.
