Job description
In your new role you will:
- As a member of the Design Application Engineering (DAE) team at Infineon Bangalore, you will be responsible for supporting project teams using Infineon Design System (Flows, Design Packages, and Methodologies). You will be the first point of contact for project teams in case of issues and will work to achieve the highest customer satisfaction.
- You should have a deep understanding of and be able to support design methodologies across semi-custom design flows, including RTL analysis,design verification , DFT, synthesis, place and route, STA, EM/IR, and physical verification. You should be able to identify methodology gaps and improvements and provide automation to perform all design activitiesi n the most efficient and correct-by-construction way.
- You should be able to evaluate solutions from multiple available options and be able to perform trade-offs between technical features and cost.
- You will work with R&D in Infineon globally with GLM, IT, EDA toolvendors to resolve design team issues across semi-custom design flows.
- Your primary goal is to significantly improve the quality, efficiency, and time to market of Infineon development projects.
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Qualifications: Possess a bachelor's/master's degree in electronics &communication engineering and worked in Function Verification field.
- Verification Experience: Possess experience in system-level simulation,SoC verification, and functional verification. This includes expertisein creating test environments, developing test benches, and verifyingthe functionality and performance of analog mixed signal designs.
- Verification Tools: Proficient in using industry-standard verification tools such as Questa, Xcelium & Verdi for function verification, Jasperor 0-In for formal verification, and Assertion Based Verification (ABV)methodologies. Familiarity with tools like JAMA/vManager forrequirement-based verification planning and Perspec for testbenchqualification adds value to your skill set. Experience inemulation-based simulation using tools like Zebu further strengthensyour verification capabilities.
- Design Languages: Skilled in design languages such as C++, SystemVerilog , VHDL/Verilog, and e-Language (legacy eVC usage). Thisproficiency allows you to create and simulate complex analog mixedsignal designs efficiently.
- Test Bench Qualification: Experienced in using Certitude for test benchqualification. This tool expertise ensures the reliability and accuracyof test benches, enhancing the quality of verification activities.
- Script Programming: Possess exposure to script programming languages,such as C and/or Perl/Python. This skill allows for automation andcustomization of design flows and methodologies, leading to improvedefficiency and productivity.
- Computer Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills and have asolid understanding of various applications related to LSF farm. Thisknowledge enables effective utilization of software tools and enhancesproductivity.
- Team Player and Communication Skills: Exhibit strong teamwork abilitiesand possess excellent communication skills. Effective collaboration andcommunication with project teams, EDA vendors, and other stakeholdersare always expected.
- Problem-Solving Mentality: Demonstrate a proactive problem-solvingmentality, being able to identify issues and provide effectivesolutions. This mindset is critical for resolving design challenges andimproving overall efficiency in the development process.
