Locations: Bangalore, Chennai and Coimbatore.
Job Description
Candidates with Karnataka or Tamil Nadu registration and desired experience in Obs Gynae & Paediatrics would be preferred.
Job Duties:
- Patient Care: Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to expectant mothers in the labor room, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being throughout the childbirth process.
- Monitoring: Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, assess progress during labor, and promptly identify and respond to any deviations from normal parameters, providing timely interventions as necessary.
- Assistance in Labor: Assist obstetricians and midwives during labor and delivery, offering support in various medical procedures such as epidurals, inductions, and cesarean sections.
- Prenatal Education: Educate expectant mothers and their families about the birthing process, potential complications, and postpartum care, fostering informed decision-making and reducing anxiety.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with the healthcare team, relaying pertinent information about the laboring mother's condition, progress, and any concerns that may arise.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as an advocate for the laboring mother, ensuring her preferences and birth plan are respected while prioritizing the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle emergency situations, such as fetal distress, hemorrhage, or other complications, following established protocols and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
- Documentation: Accurately and comprehensively document all aspects of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and the mother's response to labor, ensuring compliance with medical record-keeping standards.
- Postpartum Care: Provide initial postpartum care and breastfeeding support, assessing the mother's recovery and ensuring a smooth transition to the postpartum unit or recovery area.
- Continuous Professional Development: Stay current with the latest advancements in obstetric nursing, attending relevant workshops, conferences, and pursuing ongoing education to enhance knowledge and skills in the field.
Eligibility
Qualification: Bsc or GNM Nursing
Experience: 1-10 years
CTC Range: INR 20000 - 35000, per month depending on experience.
