Job description

Collaborate closely with the Executive Management Team, Finance, Sales, and Operations to establish streamlined billing and reporting processes.

Administer and oversee the entire medical billing process across multiple companies.

Manage day-to-day operations of the medical billing department, ensuring accuracy in all billing tasks such as statement preparation, coding, payments, and collections.

Develop and implement a comprehensive billing strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

Provide strong leadership, guidance, and training to the Billing Manager and team members to foster a culture of performance excellence and continuous improvement.

Formulate a strategy for payor relations, fostering strong working relationships.

Proactively analyze billing data to identify and execute solutions for enhancing effectiveness and efficiency within billing and collections.

Collaborate in the creation and maintenance of standardized work procedures, guidelines, and solutions for the billing team, ensuring consistent, efficient processes for the monthly billing cycle.

Review and analyze customer contracts and pricing, negotiating as needed.

Ensure an efficient collections process within legal parameters, ensuring compliance with company, local, state, and federal guidelines.

Collaborate with the Finance team to manage and communicate billing and accounts receivable information, ensuring timely and accurate payment of sales force commissions.

Ensure accurate maintenance of client records related to pricing, invoicing, and bill payments.

Create and organize monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports based on billing, revenue, and other financial information.

Conduct billing audits.

Travel up to 10% of the time.

Demonstrate performance aligned with WRS guiding principles, including caring, collaboration, transparency, and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s Degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience in medical billing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of people management experience in the medical billing field.
• Excellent understanding of worker s compensation billing and collection practices and laws.
• Strong leadership skills with a high degree of integrity.
• Ability to motivate, organize, and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization from different areas of expertise.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and communicate data and financial information.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of Medicare billing requirements.
• Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
• Must be trustworthy, analytical, and solution-oriented with superior follow-up skills, strong time management, a sense of urgency, and the ability to shift gears frequently throughout the day.
