Job Description :Join Graspcorn as a Senior Web Engineer, and you'll become an integral part of our team. You'll engage in challenging and intricate projects, working alongside some freshers and experienced developers.Upon joining, you'll be a key player in our team, contributing to projects that match your skills and expertise. While immediate project involvement may vary, you are expected to actively participate in code reviews and peer training.Senior Web Engineer Responsibilities :- Take ownership at a project level for not only your own work, but work that interacts or impacts your own.- Collaborate and support other developers on different projects.- Architect projects and intricate subsystems.- Evaluate software architecture options, making informed decisions in limited information scenarios.- Perform bug fixes and debugging across your work and that of others; tackling even the most obscure bugs.- Actively enhance tooling, code, and communication, whether directly on a project or by assisting others.- Stay abreast of development best practices within the industry.- Proactively tackle technical challenges as they emerge.- Consistently advocate for performance and security improvements.- Offer valuable architectural insights and feedback on entire systems, drawing from a robust understanding of computer science fundamentals and various programming frameworks.- Create technical documentation to outline project architecture and decisions.Requirements :As a Sr Web Engineer at Graspcorn, you should be comfortable with significant autonomy and capable of delivering within tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills, and a history of Agile project delivery are crucial.As a Sr Web Engineer, you should have a comprehensive understanding of modern web development, with an emphasis on PHP and JavaScript in a WordPress context. In order to join project teams, you should be knowledgeable in WordPress components and technologies. This includes WordPress internals, including the bootstrap process, global state, and the majority of WordPress components. To enable you to architect complex WordPress projects, you should also have knowledge of the larger WordPress ecosystem, including commonly used third-party libraries.Your role will not only involve applying your skills to the projects assigned but also engaging with the wider engineering team in activities like code review, debugging, and providing architectural guidance.You should have :- In-depth understanding of engineering with JavaScript and/or PHP- Expert WordPress knowledge- Ability to debug your own code and that of others- Experience in using debugging tools- Expert HTML5 & CSS- Experience in versioning technologies such as Git- Solid understanding of MySQL and the considerations of database-driven applications- Extensive experience using RESTful APIs- Ability to set up local development environments- Proficiency in written and oral communication in English, and ability to utilize and parse through technical terminology comfortably- Ability to manage your workload and juggle multiple tasks- In-depth understanding of performance considerations- In-depth understanding of security considerations- Ability to architect complex subsystems- Comprehensive understanding of WordPress- Proven experience working on large enterprise WordPress development projectsJoining our team means forming lasting relationships with exceptional, reliable colleagues (ref:hirist.tech)
