Position Overview: As a Senior UX and Accessibility Consultant, you will be responsible for driving the UX and accessibility strategies for our products, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of usability and inclusivity. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide expert guidance, and lead initiatives to enhance the overall user experience for our diverse customer base. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive UX and accessibility assessments on existing products, identifying areas for improvement and providing actionable recommendations. Lead the design and implementation of user-centric solutions, considering accessibility standards across the globe (WCAG 2.0, Section 508, WCAG 2.1 A, AA, AAA, GDPR etc.) and industry best practices in accessibility. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate accessibility and usability considerations into the product development lifecycle. Conduct user research, usability testing, and accessibility evaluations to gather insights and feedback for continuous improvement. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to UX and accessibility, and incorporate relevant insights into our processes. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence. Act as a subject matter expert, representing the company in conferences, workshops, and other professional forums. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, or equivalent. Minimum of 10+ years of experience in UX design, with a core focus on accessibility and inclusive design. Extensive knowledge of accessibility standards, guidelines, and best practices, particularly WCAG2.1 and 2.0 (among others). Proven experience leading UX and accessibility initiatives, from concept to implementation, in a variety of industries. Strong proficiency in UX design tools, prototyping software, and accessibility evaluation tools. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with globally distributed, cross-functional teams and stakeholders across time zones. Solid understanding of user research methodologies and usability testing. A portfolio showcasing successful UX and accessibility projects and their impact.
