Role : P&O Business Partner/ HR Business Partner - MVH India

Level : T2

Job Purpose

This role is an early member of Mars Veterinary Health in India and SE Asia, and is responsible for shaping the

business, the strategic objectives and driving results in alignment with the Mars Five Principles.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnership – Partner with the Business Head and VP - P&O to shape the presence of MVH in

India and SE Asia.

Enabling Operations – Guide, support, and position the extended MyP&O organization and Line Managers to

most effectively and efficiently serve Mars associates

Unit Effectiveness – Manage and deliver on unit specific projects, embed the adoption of Mars signature

programs and P&O foundations into the organization, interface with Line Managers.

Talent & Organizational Health – Support the P&O Head in implementing talent and organization strategies,

coach Line Managers to develop and grow associates, and continuously improve associate engagement.

Context and Scope

Business Leadership

  • Support M&A due diligence and lead People & Organization workstreams needed for effective M&A.
  • Responsible to create the P&O strategy for MVH in India & SE Asia encompassing the organization design, right hiring strategy.
  • Create onboarding playbook to integrate at scale.
  • Create a talent plan in line with local market - where will we hire from, what capabilities should we hire for and the right selection process.
  • Effective integration of the clinics through rollout of Mars signature programs (Essence of Mars, MAS) and capability building of line managers.
  • Set up the right processes and integrate systems to set up strong foundations for associate experience

Enabling Operations

  • Serve as an advocate in promoting a 'One Mars' environment and managing the interactions and interdependencies of the extended MyP&O organization, CoE, P&O Business Partner, and Line Manager roles to enable local business success
  • Educate and coach the Line Managers to interact directly with the extended MyP&O organization on a range of topics to empower Line Managers to become more self-sufficient
  • Provide the day-to-day mentorship and guidance that associates need to be successful in their positions so that they are positioned to deliver impact to Mars

Unit Effectiveness

  • Collaborate closely with the P&O Head on a variety of initiatives to drive operational efficiency and unit effectiveness from a P&O standpoint by leveraging leading principles, tools, methods and P&O frameworks to empower organizations to drive results
  • Support to shape the nature of local P&O programs, processes, policies, and service delivery based on the business environment / strategy
  • Work closely with the segment to translate business requirements into effective solutions that enable segment priorities and position the business for growth
  • Provide segment insights and key associate to segment P&O team and the CoE to most effectively tackle P&O and other business needs that are critical to strong unit performance and growth and support to develop solutions that focus on delivering outstanding service to associates

Talent & Organizational Health

Serve as the 'voice of the business' acting as a key funnel for communicating feedback on the organizational pulse and on any talent / capability gaps to P&O and business leadership, to mitigate risks and strengthen the overall health of the organization

Job Specifications/Qualifications

  • Education & Professional Qualification
  • Minimum qualification: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or related field
  • Preferred qualification: Master / Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or

related field

  • Knowledge/Experience
  • 5 or more years of progressive P&O experience
  • Solid knowledge of global and local policies and practices and understand their application in solving

business needs and ability to provide guidance

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Effective in building relationship at all levels
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision making skills, using a comprehensive

approach with strong attention to detail

  • Good business acumen / business experience
  • Strong consulting skills and ability to influence decisions to a positive business outcome
  • Ability to effectively manage and work within ambiguity and prioritize on business needs and resources
