Smest Capital is one of the fastest-growing fixed-income brokers. Our business has two parts –Information Services and an Electronic Bond Exchange. The Information Services business focuses on providing transparent bond market data and analytics to end retail investors. We are developing a bond exchange where bonds can be traded electronically. The two parts of the business collectively aim to bring transparency and efficiency to the bond markets by leveraging technology.
We are looking for a Fixed Income Analyst. Your job will include, but will not be limited to the following:
Help curate newsletters, articles, blogs
Work in close association with the business development to fulfill the queries of the retail investors regarding fixed-income investments
Develop and implement databases, data analytics, and strategies
Maintain blogs, articles, podcasts, daily/weekly research reports on the portal
Curate SMEST Reports
Maintaining the daily GSec data
Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques
Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
Writing educational and topical blogs/articles on the bond markets
Maintain the web portal through the admin screens: maintain securities master (thorough checking from the Information Memorandum to create appropriate Yield Calculation, push quotes daily on the platform, securities maintenance on the platform
Maintain Forum - Answer incoming FAQs
Update the Bond Research Information including IMs, Analytics and basic fundamentals of the issuing company
Maintain Active Alerts - News/Corporate Actions/Rating Changes etc
This is a full-time position.
What are we looking for:
Experience of 2 yrs in a finance/financial research firm. Freshers are welcome to apply.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited university in finance, mathematics, economics, or computer science
Basic understanding of the capital market with particular emphasis on fixed income/bond markets
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate information
Excellent English language in written and verbal skills
Self-driven and self-starter who takes initiative and prioritizes multiple projects under tight timelines
Team player with a proactive can-do attitude
Strong sense of ownership and detail-oriented.
This job requires you to work from the office, based in Mumbai.
