Position: HVAC Design Engineer
Job Summary: The HVAC Design Engineer will play a key role in designing and implementing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for diverse projects. This position requires a thorough understanding of HVAC principles, strong technical proficiency, and effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- System Design:
- Conduct detailed load calculations to determine heating and cooling requirements.
- Design HVAC systems, including equipment selection, ductwork layout, and pipe sizing.
- Ensure designs comply with industry codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Project Collaboration:
- Work closely with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to integrate HVAC designs into overall project plans.
- Provide technical expertise during project meetings and contribute to design reviews.
- Technical Analysis:
- Perform energy analyses and simulations to optimize system efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during project implementation.
- Documentation:
- Create comprehensive engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of design changes and project revisions.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated on local and international HVAC codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ensure designs adhere to environmental and safety standards.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams to incorporate interdisciplinary design elements.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior design engineers.
- Innovation and Technology:
- Stay informed about emerging HVAC technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
- Implement advancements in HVAC design tools and software.
Qualifications/ Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3-5years Proven experience in HVAC system design, with a focus on industrial and electrical substations/ renewable building projects.
- Proficient in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HVAC load calculation tools - HAP etc).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
