Electromagnetics Engineer
Essential Job Function: As an Electromagnetics Designer you will be conducting design of Silicon Die to Package, Package to PCB transitions in the 5-81GHz band. Typical activities include evaluating the quality of RF transitions, isolations and ensuring impedance bandwidth and minimize the power loss. Evaluate Die & Package level isolations between various RF channels such as RX-RX, TX-TX and TX-RX and LO-RX etc. Design of Silicon On-Chip Passives such as Routings, Inductors and Transformers. Familiarity with High Frequency Impedance matching. Proficient in GDSII and equivalent planar file format (KiCad, K Layout tools) loading, viewing, editing. Basic software proficiency - python scripting capability. Participate in FCC / ETSI EMC and EMI test and compliance, define and understand and debug compliance. Renesas has Industry standard electromagnetic simulation software to validate your design. Renesas has all the required T&M and anechoic chamber to make measurements. Required Experience: Ansys HFSS Software experience. Worked at 10GHz and above. Experience in designing and analyzing modern packages such as Wafer Level Chip Scale Packaging: CSP, eWLB, FO-WLP, Cu Pillar. Design of PCB Antennas and feeding network. Proficiency in standard EM tools such as Ansys HFSS and Keysight ADS. Familiarity with standard T&M equipment such as Power Sensor/Meters, Spectrum & Network Analyzers. Coding skills in Python would be a strong plus. Familiarity with PCB design tools would be a plus. Strong team player.
