Responsibilities
We’re a lean team of 10 - looking for someone with clear experience in backend development to come in and speed up our execution. This person will be the first TL in our team and play a crucial role in engineering and product outcomes with very high ownership and autonomy. We’re looking for someone who - can lead a small team of software engineers (2-3), providing technical guidance, mentorship, and foster a collaborative and innovative work environment - can design, architect, and develop robust and scalable backend solutions using Go as a server-side language and MySQL as the database - can set up best practices/guidelines and conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high quality, maintainability and adherence to those guidelines - has 2 to 4 years of work experience - has worked with REST APIs and Event-driven systems - currently does not see themselves working for large scale corporates & wishes to stay away from the politics that come with it - keen on remote-only roles Bonus if you - eventually want to build your own products full-time or on the side - like being in charge of the projects you undertake and constant interference from others annoys you Why us?- Work with one of the strongest early-stage startup teams in India right now - Market competitive salary + revenue sharing bonuses - No micromanagement: work on your own time & have a life outside of work. - We're building software products from India for users anywhere in the world, hence the engineering team (i.e. you & team) is our key central engine. - You'll be challenged to solve complex problems & be forced to write high-quality code because we don't have any QAs :) This role is a perfect fit for a senior backend developer who wants to transition their career from a developer to a lead & also wants to understand the workings of an early-stage startup from a business/marketing etc perspective.Job tags
